On Monday, a federal judge dropped Florida Governor Ron DeSantis from a lawsuit over the coordination of flights of illegal immigrants from Texas to Martha’s Vineyard, home to wealthy progressives, including a home of former President Barack Obama.

In 2022, DeSantis began flying illegal immigrants to Democrat-governed states in response to President Joe Biden’s failure to secure the US-Mexico. The move, similar to the actions of Texas Republican Governor Greg Abbott, brought attention to Biden’s border disaster.

US District Judge Allison D. Burroughs dropped DeSantis and current and previous staffers from the lawsuit, saying there were "insufficient facts" presented in the case and ruling that the court couldn’t "ascertain what actions were taken by whom and therefore cannot determine which, if any, of those individual Defendants transacted business or caused injury here, leaving it no choice but to find that, at least on this record, personal jurisdiction has not been established."

However, the judge’s ruling still allowed for further litigation against Vertol, a Florida-based company that received $1.5 million for coordinating the flights to Martha’s Vinyard from Texas.

A spokesperson for DeSantis' office told Fox News in response to the judge’s ruling, "As we've always stated, the flights were conducted lawfully and authorized by the Florida legislature. We look forward to Florida's next illegal immigration relocation flight, and we are glad to bring national attention to the crisis at the southern border."

Despite constantly demonizing Republicans for sending illegal immigrants to blue states, a recent report revealed that the Biden administration has been responsible for flying hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants around the US in 2023, including to the Democratic strongholds.
