"What do you know? [The shooter] was a white guy, Republican, MAGA person."
O'Donnell was commenting on the shooting on her TikTok account when she stated without evidence, “What do you know? [The shooter] was a white guy, Republican, MAGA person. What do you know? White supremacist."
O'Donnell moved to Ireland after Trump was reelected, and said of the decision, “I know myself enough to know that this was something I needed to do for the safety and sanity of myself and my non-binary child."
The shooter, Robert "Robin" Westman, who is a trans-identified male, took the lives of two children—8-year-old Fletcher Merkel and 10-year-old Harper Moyski—by spraying bullets into the Minnesota church building. 18 others were also injured in the shooting, including 15 children. Westman committed suicide after committing the heinous act.
In a manifesto, the shooter admitted to being “tired of being trans” and expressed regret for being "brainwashed." The statement that Westman “definitely [didn’t] feel like a man" was also written in the document.
Aside from writing "Kill Donald Trump" on one of the magazines, the shooter also praised other school shooters, writing their names on firearms and ammo magazines. In the manifesto, Westman expressed a desire to be a “scary horrible monster standing over those powerless kids” leading up to the tragedy.
Other phrases on the guns and magazines included, "Where is your God now?" and "I'm the Woker, baby, why so queerious?" as well as "Я террорист” which is translated to "I am a terrorist."
