Scheer blasts Trudeau for misleading Canadians over multi-million Amazon contract

Scheer is asking for the Trudeau government to reveal their hidden contracts after it was discovered that Canadians were misled on Monday.

Conservative leader Andrew Scheer is asking for the Trudeau government to reveal their hidden contracts after it was discovered that Canadians were misled on Monday, according to Blacklock's Reporter.

Yesterday, the Trudeau government misled taxpayers on a $5 million-dollar Amazon contract, as they said the U.S. goliath would be doing this government work for no profit.

This, however, turned out be patently false: Amazon, it turns out, would be making $5 million from the Trudeau government, and would only not make a profit from April 1 to June 30.

The Liberal Department of Public Works has now admitted that it is paying Amazon for managing orders of medical supplies, saying that their previous comments was only "partly true."

Andrew Scheer attacked the Trudeau government for their lack of transparency, saying that "we’re getting to the point where there are going to be so many questions that come out of this."

"We have to ensure even as we try to get things done very quickly that Canadian taxpayers are protected," he added.

Regarding the Trudeau Liberal's admission of repeating untruths, Scheer said that "instead of being transparent, the Liberals continue to operate behind the scenes."

"Those days are over," he said. "We want to make sure that procurement rules around tendering contracts are still followed."
