Authorities have identified the suspect in Tuesday’s deadly shooting at Oxford High School as a 15-year-old sophomore.

The Post Millennial is not naming the suspect because the juvenile has not yet been charged or publicly identified.

Authorities swarmed the 1,200-square-foot family home Tuesday evening hours after the shooting.

According to Oakland County Undersheriff Mike McCabe, the teen suspect was arrested uninjured Tuesday afternoon at the site of the shooting by deputies who arrived on scene and is currently in custody at the Children's Village in Pontiac.

Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard said that the gun the suspect used, a 9mm SIG Sauer SP2022, was bought four days before the shooting by the suspect’s father. A picture of a firearm matching the description was found on the suspect’s now deactivated Instagram account.

A Youtube page linked to the suspect featured a demonstration of a Molotov cocktail in a backyard.

The teen suspect had two 15-round magazines with seven bullets still loaded when stopped by police and is believed to have acted alone in the shooting spree that last roughly five minutes.

In an article from 2017 in a local newspaper, the suspect, then in fifth grade appeared as part of a group of students working on a project about homelessness.

McCabe added that the suspect’s parents are not allowing him to speak to authorities and have hired an attorney.

Three students were killed in the rampage, 16-year-old Tate Myre, 14-year-old Hanna St. Julian and 17-year-old Madisyn Baldwin.

Seven students remain at area hospitals. A 14-year-old female is critical and on a ventilator with a gunshot wound to chest and neck. A 17-year-old female is critical with a gunshot wound to chest. A male 15-year-old is critical with a gunshot to face.

A 14-year-old male is listed as serious with a gunshot to the jaw and head.

A 17-year-old female is listed as stable with a gunshot to the neck. A male 15-year-old is listed as stable with a gunshot to the leg and a 17-year-old male is listed as stable with a gunshot to the hip.

An injured 47-year-old teacher has been discharged from the hospital after a gunshot wound to shoulder.

A student posted a video to TikTok of his classroom locked down during the shooting. Someone knocked on the door claimed they were from the sheriff's office. A teacher responded that they didn't feel it was safe to come out, and the person in the hall said, "Open the door… bro."

Students can be heard calling the verbiage a "red flag" and began climbing out the windows of the classroom.

Oxford High School sent parents a letter on November 12 to parents about "…numerous rumors that have been circulating throughout our building."

The letter referenced an incident on November 4, when someone vandalized the school building and left a severed deer head on campus. McCabe said Tuesday, "I know a question came up earlier about a deer head incident. This is absolutely unrelated. That was a different incident and a different student.”
