Son of 9/11 victim BLASTS socialists for believing Americans 'deserved to get murdered' in terror attacks 'because it was part of an evil capitalist system'

At a rally on Tuesday against socialist New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, the son of a 9/11 victim criticized socialists who would see to it that children of the future are taught that those who were within the Twin Towers on September 11, 2001, “deserved to get murdered because it was part of an evil capitalist system.”

Vaughn Coleman told the crowd that the “silver lining” of that day, which will mark its 25th anniversary on Friday, was that “People came together.” He said, “It didn’t matter if you were Republican or a Democrat, we were united on something. We were united as Americans.”

He continued on, “People who worked at the World Trade Center were capitalists. These people don’t support these things. We’re not just talking about standard partisan disagreements. This is different.”

He noted the response of the far-left to the killing of Charlie Kirk on September 10, 2025. “My mom turned to me after seeing what happened to Charlie Kirk and said, ‘This is just like your father.’ The difference is, 25 years ago, people didn't cheer when that kind of thing happened. The difference is that this year they have been hyping it up like it's something they're counting down. Go and look on social media. They're getting excited to celebrate the murder of Charlie Kirk, one day before 9/11, and a lot of these same people are going to turn around and act like we're so sorry on September 11. Don't believe them. They're lying.”

“Newsflash: You wouldn't have agreed with all 3000 people that were killed. It didn't matter. They were Americans. That's what matters,” he added.

He said that he does not want to live in a country where his children are “told by their teachers and their college professors, which is where a lot of this is happening, by the way, that their grandfather deserved to get murdered because it was part of an evil capitalist system. That's what they're teaching.”

“That's not American. This is anti-American.” He said that streamer Hasan Piker is a “good friend” of Mamdani, and added, “You can't control how these people think, but speak out and call out this bullsh*t when you see it.”

The rally, titled “Unite Against Terror,” was organized by EndJewHatred and the Lawfare Project and took place near the DSA offices. Speakers criticized Mamdani’s decision to attend the ceremony. 

Cheri Sparacio, the wife of a man killed in the attacks, said, “How can this man be at my husband’s memorial? How can I stand there with him at my husband’s memorial?”

At a separate rally on Tuesday, more family members of 9/11 victims called for Mamdani to skip the ceremony. One woman who lost her father simply said, “dude, we don’t want you to come.”
