In another move of GOP support, the Teamsters union, which has largely supported Democrats, donated $5,000 to Sen. Josh Hawley's reelection campaign.

The donation comes as the long-time blue-collar union has started warming up to the GOP with a major donation pledge in February.

The Teamsters has usually given much of its donations to Democrats, however, Hawley has made a point to align himself with the union by joining with them in picket lines and the United Auto Workers as well, per reporting from Axios.

Hawley's total first-quarter fundraising report reveals that his campaign raised a total of $2.56 million just as April began and has about $5.5 million cash on hand for the reelect effort.

The Democrat Party has largely been the recipient of Teamster's donation, but Trump has attempted to pivot their support to the GOP. The former president met with Teamsters Union President Sean O'Brien, in January.

After the meeting took place Trump stated that he had "good shot" at getting an endorsement from the union. Teamsters has about 1.3 million members made up of blue-collar members.

Trump and the GOP have started making more inroads with working-class voters, and union leaders are another step in the process of getting more support for the GOP.

In recent rallies across the upper Midwest and Rust Belt states, Trump has given several speeches in support of autoworkers. Truck drivers around the country also made calls to block off shipments to New York City in opposition to a court decision against Trump in February.
