The homeowner stated that this was not the first time illegal immigrants had tried to break into her home, and that to deter future attacks she had invested $13,000 into beefing up security on her property.

A group of what appear to be illegal immigrants were caught on video in early December attempting to break into a home in Edwards County, Texas, which is nearly fifty miles away from the United States-Mexico border.

FOX News' Bill Melugin shared the footage on Twitter and reports that the homeowner stated that this was not the first time illegal immigrants had tried to break into her home, and that to deter future attacks she had invested $13,000 into beefing up security on her property.

The video begins with two men wearing backpacks standing in front of a home attempting to kick in the door. They are soon joined by two others, who assist in checking to see if the home has any weak spots.

Eventually one of the men grabs a large cylindrical object and begins bashing the door, but his attempts to gain entry are fruitless.

Included in the safety overhaul was the addition of a steel frame on the door onto which she latched the deadbolt, making it nearly impossible to penetrate.

"Property owner tells me the men successfully broke into her neighbor's home after they left hers, and that they were gone by the time Border Patrol responded," Melugin added.

"Whoa," Elon Musk replied. Another user referred to the situation as a "war zone."

Members of the Biden administration, most notably Vice President Kamala Harris, have stated that the border was "secure." The incident comes as Biden's border crisis has seen a record-high number of illegal immigrants pouring into the United States month after month.

There were 2,378,944 encounters in the 2022 fiscal year. In 2021 a record number of 1,659,206 illegal immigrants crossed the southern border, and Joe

Biden secretly shipped many of those border crossers to locations across the US.

Joe Biden drastically slowed the prosecution of illegal immigrants by almost 80 percent in 2021 despite the historic drug and human trafficking along the border.
