Two-and-a-half weeks out from the 2024 election, three House races remain to be called that will determine just how large of a majority Republicans will have in the chamber. Two of the remaining races are in California, while the third is in Iowa.

In California, the 13th and 45th Congressional District races remain to be called. In the 13th District, incumbent GOP Rep. John Duarte leads Democrat challenger Adam Gray by less than 200 votes as of Friday afternoon, with 98 percent of the vote counted, according to the Associated Press.

In the state’s 45th District, Democrat Derek Tan has a lead of around 500 votes over GOP incumbent Rep. Michelle Steele. 98 percent of the vote has been counted in that race.

In Iowa’s 1st Congressional District, incumbent GOP Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks holds an 800-vote lead over Democrat challenger Christina Bohannan, with 99 percent of the vote counted.

As of Friday afternoon, Republicans hold 219 seats in the House to Democrats’ 213 seats. The GOP has flipped five seats in the 2024 election, which helped the party retake control of the chamber heading into President-elect Donald Trump’s return to the White House.

GOP candidate Nick Begich defeated Democrat incumbent Mary Pelota in Alaska’s at-large district, Gabe Evans defeated incumbent Democrat Yadira Caraveo in Colorado’s 8th District, Ryan Mackenzie defeated Democrat incumbent Susan Wild in Pennsylvania’s 7th District and Robert Bresnahan defeated Matt Cartwright in Pennsylvania’s 8th District. In Michigan’s 7th District, the seat had been held by democrat Rep. Elissa Slotkin who went on to run for the Senate, leaving it open. Republican Tom Barrett won, defeating Democrat Curtis Hertel.

These House races are the only ones left to be called in the 2024 election, with all Senate races being called and all state races for the presidency being called. The Republican party has received a majority of seats in the Senate, and Trump has taken the White House, meaning the party has achieved a government trifecta.

This is nonsense. No way Iowa voted for the Demented-crat.
