On Friday, Senator Tom Cotton (R-AR) blasted the Biden administration's approach to the continually worsening situation in Ukraine, pointing out that they have been reduced to making Molotov cocktails to defend against well-equipped Russian forces.
Philip Melanchthon Wegmann, a reporter and White House correspondent for Real Clear News, "Sen. @TomCottonAR earlier today: Biden and NATO 'need to quit pussyfooting around--they've got moms and dads in Ukraine who are making Molotov cocktails... and Joe Biden NATO leaders are patting themselves on the back for how many zoom calls they're having.'"
The New York Post has published several photos showing Ukrainian military instructors training civilians in the correct use of Molotov cocktails. They also report that missiles have repeatedly struck the capital city of Kyiv, home to three million people.
"Today is going to be the hardest day," the Ukrainian Interior Minister, Anton Gerashchenko advised his citizens on Friday via Facebook. He continued, stating, "The enemy’s plan is to break through tank columns from Ivankov and Chernihiv to Kyiv."
"Europe said — never again, but here we are," commented Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to the press, as Russian troops continue to advance into Ukrainian territory. Zelensky posted a night-time video recently showing the world he is still in Kyiv with his people, despite rumors to the contrary.
"Make Molotov cocktails, neutralize the occupier!" was the comment from the "Defense of Ukraine" Twitter account.
The Biden administrations has so far responded with economic sanctions, and plans to "remotely" train Ukrainian troops.
