Torontonians will also have the option of taking a picture at a "selfie station" where they can "celebrate having been vaccinated."

Toronto is purchasing two million pink Band-Aid stickers and adding "selfie stations" to immunization clinics in order to encourage vaccination against coronavirus, the city's COVID playbook states.

The campaign, which will be primarily waged over social media, intends to "excite, promote and encourage immunization through a pink Band-Aid."

Toronto residents who receive a vaccine will be given the sticker before leaving, which will be placed on the part of their arm where they received the vaccine.

The Band-Aid is expected to appear prominently in vaccine promotion material distributed by the city as part of their plan to encourage others to get vaccinated. It is expected to appear in literature, on billboards, in advertisements, and on social media campaigns. Torontonians will also be able to add the Band-Aid to their social media profile avatars.

Officials and strategists expect that the hot pink colour will stand out as a strong reminder to get vaccinated.

Torontonians will also have the option of taking a picture at a "selfie station" where they can "celebrate having been vaccinated." The selfie station will be located near the exit of vaccination clinics in order to ensure that there is no overcrowding.
