Trans killer sentenced to 45 years in Oklahoma awaits trial in for NYC murder in women's jail

A trans-identifying male has been sentenced to 45 years in prison for the murder of an Oklahoma man. Alex Ray Scott, 28, learned of the fate while standing trial on separate murder charges in New York City. Scott is being housed with women in Rikers pending the NYC trial. 

Reduxx revealed that Scott assumed a transgender identity shortly after admitting to a murder to the NYPD in January 2020. Scott was detained in connection to the murder of 64-year-old antiques dealer Kenneth Savinski and is now listed as a female on New York arrest records. 



Scott walked into the Manhattan police Department and said, “I think I may have killed someone last night.”  Authorities in the case investigated the death of Savinski and found footage of Scott walking out of the victim’s apartment with Savinski’s belongings with noticeable hand injuries. As Reduxx reports, Scott pleaded not guilty in the New York City case. Savinski was found dead in his apartment with wounds to his neck and a deep gash in his head. It was during that investigation that authorities also linked Scott to an Oklahoma murder during summer 2019. 

According to the DOJ, after Scott’s possessions were searched and police came across identification and credit cards belonging to Robin Skocdopole, who Scott claimed to have lived with in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. When attempts to contact the man yielded no results, local police searched his home and found it to be empty, however, a forensics team found areas of blood spatter and a large pool of blood between the laundry room and garage. Tests confirmed it was Skocdopole’s blood.  

A few months later, body parts confirmed to be Skocdopole's were discovered near a creek in the Oklahoma town, with a medical examiner determining that he had been hacked apart with saws, one of which was a chainsaw. Authorities used data from an ankle monitor Scott received in July 2019 while awaiting trial on child molestation charges. Bank history to prove that Scott had purchased a chainsaw from Wal-Mart and disposed of the body by the creek.  

The killing took place in Indian Country, and as a result, the FBI took over. In May 2023, Scott admitted to federal authorities to killing Skocdopole, and a year later was sentenced for second degree murder. 

Scott will be held in the women's section of Rikers Island until the case in the New York City trial concludes. Scott will then be transferred to a US Bureau of Prison facility to serve the sentence for the Oklahoma murder.
