Christian Jeffers, a biological male who identifies as a woman, has now been indicted with multiple crimes in connection with a vicious attack on an Asian man in a Manhattan subway station.

Jeffers, 48 years old, had previously been arrested and charged on March 9 and 10, respectively, with multiple hate crimes and other charges after allegedly having bashed a 29-year-old Asian male over the head with a hammer at the 14th street/ 8th Avenue subway station previously, on March 8.

The Manhattan District Attorney's office said on Thursday that Jeffers has been indicted on charges that include Attempted Assault in the First Degree as a Hate Crime, Assault in the Second Degree, and Menacing in the Second Degree as a Hate Crime, as well as other charges.

"Hate-driven violence and slurs have no place in New York," said Manhattan District Attorney, Alvin Bragg.

"Disturbingly, this alleged hate crime was just one in a wave of recent anti-Asian attacks. I want our AAPI neighbors to know that the Manhattan DA's Office is here for you, and we are committed to your safety," Bragg added.

During his arrest, Jeffers swore that once out of prison, the behavior that led to the current charges laid will not change, stating: "By the time I get out of prison, first thing I’m going to do is get a gun and try to kill as many of you [Asians] as possible," according to Reduxx.

On March 8, Jeffers removed beat the victim in the head with a hammer after the two bumped into each other. Jeffers reportedly yelled "You can’t see me? You don’t have eyes" and stomped on the victim's foot seconds before the attack. When the victim's wife rushed over, Jeffers reportedly threatened her with the hammer as well.
