Trudeau falsely claims he never smeared parents who oppose gender ideology as motivated by 'hate'

At a news conference Thursday in Vaughn, Ont., Prime Minister Justin Trudeau lied about having never described parents who oppose gender ideology in the school system as being motivated by “hate.”

Referring specifically to a demand from the Muslim Association of Canada (MAC) that Trudeau apologize for issuing a post on X that associated parental rights with hate, a reporter asked Trudeau, “You use the word hate to describe their concerns and you've been asked to retract that comment and apologize will you do that and should you have been more careful in the way you discussed this?”

Trudeau responded, “I've never suggested that someone who's concerned about parental rights is somehow filled with hate or intolerance but what we need to make sure is that when we do see expression of hatred or intolerance against Muslims, against the 2SLGBTQI+ community Canadians – that we are firm in standing against intolerance, that we reach out to bring people together. That's what I will always do, that's what this government has always done with Muslim Canadians and with all members of diverse communities.”

But in an obvious response to the One Million March for Children on Sept. 20, Trudeau issued the following statement on his X account on the same day:

“Let me make one thing very clear: Transphobia, homophobia, and biphobia have no place in this country. We strongly condemn this hate and its manifestations, and we stand united in support of 2SLGBTQI+ Canadians across the country – you are valid and you are valued.”

When New Brunswick Premier Blain Higgs declared that parents had the right to know and approve if their children under the age of 16 wanted to change their gender or pronouns, Trudeau again labeled this desire as “hate.”

"Trans kids in New Brunswick are being told they don't have the right to be their true selves, that they need to ask permission," Trudeau said June 9 while at an event promoting the "Rainbow Railroad" program that seeks to place LGBTQ "refugees" in Canada. "Well trans kids need to feel safe not targeted by politicians, we have to stand against this, we have to stand up for the freedoms we believe in and continue our work of letting love be louder than hate.”

The MAC issued a statement last month in response to Trudeau’s post, seeking an immediate apology for the prime minister’s abusive language. 

The group said Trudeau was demonizing families and setting up students who refuse to embrace gender ideology for persecution from teachers and other students. 

"The Muslim Association of Canada strongly condemns remarks on recent protests made by certain politicians, including our Prime Minister, as well as statements from school boards, unions, and reports from some media outlets," the statement began.

But Trudeau has also dismissed Muslim Canadians opposed to gender ideology in the schools as being misled by “misinformation and disinformation” from “the American right-wing.”

His government is spending $1.1 million on a “purge fund” to target “hateful” parents who oppose gender ideology indoctrination. 

When the reporter asked a follow-up question to confirm that the prime minister was “not retracting the comment,” Trudeau suggested someone was “trying to politicize or spin this as an attack on one particular group” and was trying to “divide” Canadians.
