Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is taking his sixth consecutive Personal Day as his government remains entrenched in scandal.
Trudeau's vacation days have added up quickly in 2020. The prime minister has taken nearly 50 personal days this year, while 2019's days off totaled 91.
Trudeau's absence has drawn criticism from opposition MPs, including from Shadow Finance Minister Pierre Poilievre, who recently submitted a motion to the Finance Committee that would suspend Trudeau's pay until he returns to work.

In his motion, Poilievre wrote that "the prime minister has taken off 20 days in six weeks—meaning nearly half the calendar days have been days off."
Trudeau has spent the past week vacationing in Ontario, as Canadians across the country still deal with the impact of a global pandemic.
