Justin Trudeau's Foreign Minister François-Philippe Champagne has had to defend his warm thanks to the Chinese regime after they sent Canada broken medical equipment, according to Blacklock's Reporter.

Numerous federal agencies complained about the shoddy nature of the equipment and their late deliveries, yet Champagne said that "we are grateful to every nation."

On March 27, the regime-run state bank of China donated some 30,000 masks to Canada, in a move that has become known as "mask diplomacy."

Champagne responded to this donation by saying "thank you for this donation. In the face of a global pandemic, supporting each other is not only the right thing to do, it's the smart thing to do."

Despite all this, there has been numerous testimony at the federal health committee complaining of defective masks and test kits stemming from Chinese companies.

"There is an ongoing active test on every piece that comes in," said a deputy Liberal minister. "We check for quality."

It has subsequently been discovered, that the medical equipment China sent us has been entirely defective. Veteran Conservative MP Ed Fast said pointed out the hypocrisy in Trudeau's government: "More recently Taiwan donated half a million surgical masks to Canada, and yet here we are, two weeks later, and the Minister has yet to personally thank Taiwan for its generosity."

"Will the Minister now thank this free and democratic country for its generous gift to Canadians," added Fast.
