On Wednesday, former President Donald Trump demanded the removal of every Gaza encampment that has emerged on college campuses across the US and criticized Biden for his silence on the matter.

Trump made the remarks during a campaign speech in Waukesha, Wisconsin, in which he urged institutions to put an end to the "radical extremists" occupying their campuses and chastised President Biden for failing to act.

He also praised the New York Police Department for dismantling the infamous Gaza camp at Columbia University, referring to the officers as "New York's finest."

"The radical extremists and far-left agitators are terrorizing college campuses," said Trump.

"Many of them aren't even students and many of them come from foreign countries," he continued.

"To every college president, I say remove the encampments immediately, vanquish the radicals, and take back our campuses for all of the normal students who want a safe place from which to learn," added Trump.

The former Republican president then commended the New York Police Department's efforts in dismantling the Gaza encampment at Columbia University on Tuesday, which resulted in the arrest of dozens of people who were mostly outside agitators.

"New York was under siege last night," said Trump. "The police came in, and in exactly two hours everything was over. It was a beautiful thing to watch. New York's finest."

Furthermore, the presumptive GOP presidential nominee chastised President Biden for failing to take action against the unsanctioned encampments, which have brought violence and an increase in antisemitism on campuses across the US.

"Biden's nowhere to be found," said Trump. "He hasn't said anything, but they're his political base."

This comes after dozens of "Gaza Liberated Zones" have emerged on college campuses throughout the country in protest of schools' involvement with the Israel-Hamas war. Many colleges have been forced to cancel classes or shut down entirely for the remainder of the year due to violence at these unsanctioned camps.

The majority of the agitators have been revealed to be non-students, sparking further safety concerns.
