On Wednesday, former President Donald Trump demanded that Hunter Biden be treated similarly to how his children were treated when they were deposed over the infamous Russian collusion hoax.
The comments come after Hunter Biden was subpoenaed by the House Oversight Committee to testify before Congress on evidence-based allegations surrounding the Biden family's shady foreign business dealings, and whether or not President Biden was involved in the influence-peddling schemes.
Hunter Biden has agreed to provide a deposition before the House Oversight Committee on Dec. 13.
Writing on Truth Social, Donald Trump urged congressional Republicans to pursue the Biden family's alleged corruption and to treat Hunter Biden in the same manner the "radical left Democrats" treated his children during the deposition and beyond.
"The Radical Left Democrats in Congress, under the influence of the Crooked Joe Biden Regime, viciously subpoenaed my COMPLETELY INNOCENT family, and deposed them for a total of 18 hours based on Russia, Russia, Russia, and other Fake News," said Trump.
"Certainly, Hunter Biden should be treated in the same manner," he asserted.
"Just because the DOJ, FBI and IRS consistently turn a blind eye to Biden crimes and corruption, doesn’t mean Republicans in Congress should do the same. Our Law Enforcement is not only Weaponized, it is a dangerous, Two-Tiered System. The Bidens should honor their subpoenas by the House Oversight Committee, just as the Trump Family did!" Trump continued.
Shortly after Donald Trump assumed the White House in 2017, Democrats in Congress subpoenaed the former president's children Donald Trump Jr., Ivanka Trump, and Eric Trump to provide testimony on claims that Trump had colluded with Russia during his 2016 presidential campaign.
The "Russian collusion" allegations were determined to be a hoax, but that didn't stop Democratic lawmakers from weaponizing the Department of Justice against Trump and his family who were grilled in multiple depositions that spanned over the course of a few years.
In November, Hunter Biden was subpoenaed by Rep. James Comer, chairman of the House Oversight Committee, after bank records revealed that Hunter Biden and his uncle James Biden had received large sums of money from foreign businesses. President Biden was then given personal checks or received monthly payments from his brother James and son Hunter immediately after they had received the foreign cash.
On Wednesday, GOP lawmakers threatened to hold Hunter Biden in contempt of Congress if he does not appear for his deposition on December 13.
