"I am going to call for a major investigation into this matter."
Trump posted on Truth Social, "How much did Kamala Harris pay Bruce Springsteen for his poor performance during her campaign for president? Why did he accept that money if he is such a fan of hers? Isn't that a major and illegal campaign contribution? What about Beyoncé? …And how much went to Oprah, and Bono??? I am going to call for a major investigation into this matter."

"Candidates aren’t allowed to pay for ENDORSEMENTS, which is what Kamala did, under the guise of paying for entertainment. In addition, this was a very expensive and desperate effort to artificially build up her sparse crowds. IT’S NOT LEGAL! For these unpatriotic “entertainers,” this was just a CORRUPT & UNLAWFUL way to capitalize on a broken system. Thank you for your attention to this matter!!!" he added.
Springsteen, Winfrey, Beyonce, as well as Bono all endorsed Harris during her 2024 campaign cycle. During Harris' campaign, there was a steady stream of celebrity performances at her rallies leading up to the election.
Beyonce spoke at Harris' rally in Houston but did not perform at the time, only giving her endorsement of Harris. Oprah Winfrey also hosted Harris for a town hall in Detroit. According to Politico, campaign finance records indicate that Beyonce's production company got paid $165,000 and that Winfrey's company, Harpo Productions, was paid out $1,000,000 from the Harris campaign.
Winfrey denied any wrongdoing associated with the payment, claiming that she did not get a "personal fee." Beyonce's mother claimed that the $165,000 payment was only for the candidate's use of Beyonce's song "Freedom," which she used for rally entrances over the course of the campaign.
Other celebrities that have been under scrutiny for similar allegations include Lebron James, who posted a video endorsing Harris during the election season on his social, then James' production company was paid $50,000 on January 28 for a supposed "campaign event production."
The post from Trump comes after Springsteen took to the stage in Manchester, England last week and said, “In my home, the America I love… is currently in the hands of a corrupt, incompetent and treasonous administration."
