The monument, titled The Defiance Monument, captures the moment Trump, after being shot at and wounded, stood surrounded by Secret Service agents and raised his fist in the air, shouting “Fight, fight, fight.”
Trump admired the sculpture for the first time on Saturday alongside Constantino. "The President was in a happy, joking mood which was great to see,” said Constantino in a statement.
The statue was placed between the clubhouse and the first hole of the golf course, visible to all members. Constantino, who has been outspoken about his admiration for Trump’s bravery, said he wanted to honor the president’s courage after surviving an assassination attempt.
“I was shocked to be stopped by the CEO of one of my competitors, who loved the monument, and was golfing while I unveiled it,” Constantino added. “I won’t say who to protect them from the far left hate I’ve had to deal with.”
The piece was created by Sculpture George Lundeen of Loveland, Colorado, whose previous works include statues of Benjamin Franklin at the University of Pennsylvania and the Apollo 11 Monument at Kennedy Space Center.
The statue will remain a fixture at Trump International Golf Course in West Palm Beach. Constantino previously gained attention in October 2024 when he was challenged by the city of Amsterdam, New York, for placing a 100-foot “Vote for Trump” sign on a Sticker Mule-owned building.
