The statue named "Defiance Monument," is inspired by Trump's words right after the attempt on his life in Butler, Pennsylvania.
The statue, which will be named “Defiance Monument,” is inspired by the actions taken by Trump directly after the attempt on his life in Butler, Pennsylvania, when he stood up with Secret Service agents around him and declared with a fist in the air, “Fight! Fight! Fight!.”
Constantino, who is now running for Congress in New York’s 21st District to replace the seat left by UN Ambassador and former GOP Chairwoman Elise Stefanik, said he wanted to make the statue to honor Trump’s bravery in that moment.
“Five thousand patriots stood up for me when Democrats threatened to arrest me over my sign. I thought it made sense to honor the President who stood up for America after being shot, by commissioning a monument to commemorate his bravery,” Constantino said.
The Sticker Mule CEO was challenged in Oct 2024 by the city of Amsterdam, New York when he erected a 100-foot “Vote for Trump” sign on top of a building owned by the sticker company.
A press release from Sticker Mule detailed the statue to be unveiled on Tuesday this week, “The statue was handcrafted by sculptor George Lundeen of Loveland, Colorado. Lundeen is known for his realistic bronze sculptures, including the Benjamin Franklin Statue at UPenn and the Apollo 11 Monument at the Kennedy Space Center. This masterpiece will be donated to the Trump International Golf Course West Palm Beach.”
When Trump was shown the statue, he responded from the Daytona 500, “How good is that statue???”
The statue will be unveiled at Sticker Mule’s headquarters at 49 Elk Street in Amsterdam, New York on Tuesday at 6 pm.
