The latest RealClearPolitics average of polls has revealed that 2024 GOP frontrunner Donald Trump has a 27 point lead over his next opponent in the state of New Hampshire, and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who is frequently a distant second place in other states, is fourth in the state’s race.

The latest average of polls, spanning from November 9 to 14, has Trump at 45.7 percent support, with former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley in second at 18.7 percent. Former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie is in third at 11.3 percent support, and DeSantis came in at fourth place with 7.7 percent. Entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy is quickly closing in on DeSantis though, bringing in 7 percent support.

The average takes into consideration three recent polls: Washington Post/Monmouth University, CNN/University of New Hampshire, and WHDH-TV/Emerson College Polling.

The Washington Post/Monmouth University poll, conducted between November 9 and 14 of 841 New Hampshire voters, found that 36 percent would cast their vote for Trump, 18 percent for Haley, 11 percent for Christie, 8 percent for Ramaswamy, and 7 percent for DeSantis.

The CNN/University of New Hampshire poll, conducted between November 10 and 14 of 1,946 New Hampshire residents, found that 42 percent would vote for Trump, 20 percent for Haley, 14 percent for Christie, 9 percent for DeSantis, and 8 percent for Ramaswamy.

The WHDH-TV/Emerson College Polling survey, conducted between November 10 and 13 of 917 registered New Hampshire voters, found that 49 percent would vote for Trump, 18 percent for Haley, 9 percent from Christie, 7 percent for DeSantis, and 5 percent for Ramaswamy.

Notably, in the WHDH-TV/Emerson College Polling survey Trump has remained unchanged in support since their August 2023 poll, Haley has shot up by 14 points, DeSantis fell by one point, and Ramaswamy gained 2 percent support.

While Trump has remained the top candidate in New Hampshire, according to RealClearPolitics’ poll averages, the field was shaken up around September 21.

DeSantis fell from second place to third, behind Haley, plunging further to fourth in the last week. Haley, who had remained toward the bottom of the back, shot up to second place in support at this point.

On Wednesday, New Hampshire Secretary of State David Scanlan announced that the state’s primaries will be held on January 23, 2024, the first primary to be held in the country in the 2024 election cycle, according to Politico. This is around one week after the Iowa caucus, the first caucus of the election.
