Former President Donald Trump, upon hearing of a Disciplinary Committee hearing of the Screen Actors Group (SAG) on whether his membership should be discontinued, responded by promptly resigning.

"I write to you today regarding the so-called Disciplinary Committee hearing aimed at revoking my union membership. Who cares!"

According to the letter, which was obtained and published by Fox News, Trump doesn't mince words with SAG officials.

Trump, in his typical style, mentioned his on screen credits, and added that he was "not familiar with your work," referring to Gabrielle Carteris, the president of SAG, to whom he sent the scathing letter.

The fomer President also wrote about his ability to improve the ratings of what was considered to be a dying cable TV scene.

"Which brings me to your blatant attempt at free media attention to distract from your dismal record as a union. Your organization has done little for its members, and nothing for me—besides collecting dues and promoting dangerous un-American policies and ideas—as evident by your massive unemployment rates and lawsuits from celebrated actors, who even recorded a video asking, 'Why isn’t the union fighting for me?'"

Many SAG members, including some high-profile actors have protested the union's recent slashing of their members' healthcare benefits.

The letter concluded with:

"I no longer wish to be associated with your union. As such, this letter is to inform you of my immediate resigning from SAG-AFTRA."
