Former President Donald J. Trump, during his latest "Save America" rally, spoke to the crowd about how the Biden administration's lack of strength and negotiation skills, in his opinion, allowed for the Ukraine invasion to happen.

"I thought he was negotiating," said Trump, referring to Putin earlier this year before ordering a military intervention into neighboring Ukraine.

"He had 150,000 soldiers on the border. I thought he was gonna make a great deal; he could have made a great deal.

"I believe that when he saw what happened in Afghanistan, the way we ran," Trump went on, implying that the Biden administration's actions paved the way for Putin to feel free to invade.

"We didn’t to have one soldier killed there in 18 months. I said, 'Abdul [Ghani Baradar — the ostensibleTaliban leader at the time], there are going to be no more of our soldiers killed.'"

Trump iterated that his negotiation tactics worked with Ghani worked well at the time, mentioning that he had a picture of Ghani's house sent to him, sending a clear message that severe retaliation in the event of any more American death was a distinct possibility.

"Not one person was killed for 18 months and Biden even said that," continued Trump, mentioning that the TV cameras "didn't like it" when Biden admitted that fact.

"Then we lost thirteen, but they don’t talk about how horribly so many of them were wounded, with the legs and the arms and the face and everything else."

"This invasion of Ukraine would never have happened if I was in the White House, not even a chance, would never have happened."

"And I knew Putin very well. They say 'Ooh, he knows Putin, he knows Putin, ooh.' That's a good thing, not a bad thing."

"I know Kim Jung Un, I know President Xi of China. And, you know what, we had no conflict, remember?"
