A collection of statements from Twitter employees reveals their hatred for the President and conservatives.
Twitter has long been a platform for politics, but the company attests that it is apolitical in nature. Nonetheless, the platform has made headlines as of late for censorship, most recently against the accounts of The New York Post and of several individuals who shared its Hunter Biden bombshell story.
The New York Post has highlighted a number of tweets from twitter employees that would justify a ban from the platform, based on Twitter's own policies.
One Twitter engineering manager said Trump should “die in a fire” in a January 2017 tweet. Another senior site reliability engineer posted on August 18, calling the President, "a f–king idiot” and the voters who elected him — “hysterically f–king stupid people.”
Even the Twitter "Head of Site Integrity" infamously compared White House officials to Nazis and Trump to a “racist tangerine.” This is the same employee who helped author the policy update used by the company to flag and label posts from President Trump.
"Our employees are professionals, and we require them to bring objectivity to their work regardless of their personal views. We will not be dissuaded from continuing to work to fairly and impartially enforce our rules," Twitter’s Chief Human Resources Officer Jennifer Christie said.
"We do not hire based on political beliefs and completely support our employees’ right to express themselves and support the causes they care about," Christie added.
