A group of over 100 Antifa rioters smashed windows and blocked traffic on Monday night as the Portland Police Bureau (PPB) was forced to declare an unlawful assembly for the fourth time in the span of a week. The declaration was made within 30 minutes after the protest march began and activists began a spree of vandalism.

"People in this crowd are destroying windows at a local community center that serves children," PPB tweeted as rioters smashed the windows the Blazers Boy's and Girl's club next to the North Portland police precinct. In response to the violence, authorities reportedly made targeted arrests.

Antifa social media accounts had promoted a gathering at Chapman Square at 3 pm, to be followed by another in Woodlawn Park at 8 pm.

On Monday at about 9:30 pm, the riotous crowd blocked traffic and marched through Portland to NE MLK Boulevard and Prescott Street, closing roads along the way.

Portland police reported at the time that "The crowd continues to damage property."

Police ordered the rioters out of the streets, warning that they would be subject to arrest if they failed to comply. The rioters did not disperse.

Prior to the disturbances, on Monday afternoon, police said that they were aware of the "direct action" at Woodlawn Park, which is not far from the mixed residential and business district where the North Precinct is located.

Police officials told local news, "In the past, violent crowds have targeted the Portland Police Bureau's North Precinct and employees with arson, including attempts to burn it down. In the past, direct action events have resulted in damage to local business, including many businesses owned by community members of color. People who engage in criminal activity are subject to the use of force and arrest."

Riots were declared in Portland on three different nights over the course of the last week. BLM and Antifa rioters set fire to an Apple store, and vandalized The Oregon Historical Society as well as churches.
