A 2014 email exchange between Plaskett and Epstein’s former executive assistant, Lesley Groff, reveals Plaskett accepted an invitation to the island.
Virgin Islands Democratic Delegate Stacey Plaskett is alleged to have been a visitor to Jeffrey Epstein’s private island, according to Epstein-related documents recently released by the Department of Justice.
The documents include a 2014 email exchange between Plaskett and Epstein’s former executive assistant, Lesley Groff, in which Groff asked whether Plaskett would be able to meet with Epstein on his island. Plaskett responded, “I thought I responded yes I will be available. Please share details on time and transportation to Jeffrey.”

The newly released materials add to earlier disclosures made public in November, which showed that Plaskett had communicated with Epstein during the 2019 impeachment proceedings against President Donald Trump. Text messages released at that time revealed that Epstein contacted Plaskett while the House Oversight Committee was holding a hearing with Trump associate Michael Cohen.
According to the documents, Epstein suggested potential questions for Plaskett to ask Cohen regarding other Trump associates the committee could interview. The Washington Post reported that Plaskett’s office acknowledged the texts but downplayed their significance, stating that she "received texts from staff, constituents and the public at large offering advice, support and in some cases partisan vitriol, including from Epstein."
"The congresswoman has previously made clear her long record combating sexual assault and human trafficking, her disgust over Epstein's deviant behavior and her support for his victims," the statement said at the time.
Plaskett was also reportedly among several politicians who received significant campaign donations from Epstein. Epstein’s residence on Little Saint James Island is located in the US Virgin Islands.
Following the November disclosures, House Republicans attempted to remove Plaskett from the House Intelligence Committee, though the effort ultimately failed after Democrats voted against it.
