White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki on Friday dodged another question, this time regarding the Cuomo cover-up of the NY State nursing home fiasco:

"Biden’s @PressSec refuses to condemn Cuomo following the New York Post bombshell on Cuomo’s cover-up of the thousands of nursing home deaths caused by his policies and decisions."

A reporter asked Psaki about the NY State government's "withholding information" regarding deaths in nursing homes in the state, and asked her, "does the president have confidence in Gov. Cuomo's handling of the pandemic and did they discuss this today"

Psaki responded with the following:

"Well, the president hosted Gov. Cuomo and a bipartisan group of governors and mayors to the White House today to get their perspective from the front lines, umm, not to give anyone a stamp of approval, or to seek their stamp of approval, and, ummm, to discuss the urgency of passing the American rescue plan."

"And he's committed to partnering with governors and mayors. The governor, Gov. Cuomo's, of course, the governor of one of the largest states in the country, uhh,  one of the places where, uh,  the pandemic hit hardest the earliest, where there's still, uh, many Americans who are continuing to struggle to..... get vaccinates, uhh, to make ends meet, and so it was important to have him as a part of the meaning."

At no point in time did Psaki actually answer any part of the reporter's question.

Other voices on Twitter were also critical of both Psaki and Cuomo:

"Well  @NYGovCuomo killed more New Yorkers than Bin Laden. Is @PressSec a member of ISIS or just utterly incompetent"

"Won’t call Cuomo out won’t say Israel is an ally, won’t fire TJ, and of course won’t call out donors, excuse me, teachers unions!"
