A British Politician is making headlines after she gave a thunderous speech, condemning critical race theory and BLM. Kemi Badenoch is the Conservative MP for Saffron Walden in the U.K. and her speech was specifically in response to the idea of "decolonizing" British schools.
Minister Badenoch said the government does not want children being taught about "white privilege and their inherited racial guilt."
"Any school which teaches these elements of political race theory as fact, or which promotes partisan political views such as defunding the police without offering a balanced treatment of opposing views, is breaking the law," she said.
Badenoch also stressed the importance of schools remaining apolitical, and warned that they should not be openly support "the anti-capitalist Black Lives Matter group."
Kemi Badenoch has been the MP for Saffron Walden since 2017. She is the first woman to ever represent that constituency. She is of Nigerian descent, and spent her childhood in Lagos, Nigeria. Her move to the United Kingdom came when she was just 16-years-old. She has a degree in Computer Systems Engineering from the University of Sussex.
She supported Brexit and is now the Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Children and Families, as appointed by Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
