WATCH: Conservative MP calls out 'feminist' Trudeau for not recognizing China's Uyghur genocide

Conservative MP Garnett Genuis called out the Trudeau Liberals' "feminist" foreign policy on Thursday, as he highlighted the atrocities committed by Chinese guards on the Muslim ethnic-minority Uyghurs in China's Xinjiang region.

Accounts from survivors of Uyghur concentration camps, where Uyghurs are being killed and reprogrammed at the hands of the Chinese Communist Party, have detailed the institutionalized rape and torture.

Genuis told accounts from those who survived the abuses, describing scenes of sexual abuse in front of prisoners who would be forced not to react.

Various mass atrocities have been committed in these camps aside from rape. According to testimonies from dozens of concentration camp survivors, prisoners are often crammed into crowded cells, access to food is strictly limited, and inmates spend most of their days repeating Chinese propaganda, including praising China's President Xi Jinping, a report from BBC found.

BBC was eventually banned from the country due to their reporting on China's handling of COVID-19 and of the Uyghur genocide.

Conservative Party Leader Erin O’Toole issued a statement on Thursday calling on the Trudeau government to recognize the Uyghur genocide.

This after Trudeau refused to use the word, saying it was a "loaded term" that needed to be used carefully.

"Around the world, we have solemnly uttered the phrase 'never again,' but it falls flat without action.

"Never again demands action before more atrocities are committed. We cannot say never again and turn a blind eye to government coordinated rape, torture, indoctrination, and forced sterilization."

The prime minister had previously used the term "genocide" to describe the situation with Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls, telling a crowd in Vancouver that he agreed with the report's findings and saying the harm done amounted to genocide.

"We cannot remain silent. Silence only helps those who commit crimes against humanity, never the victims," O'Toole wrote.

"Today, Canada's Conservatives are calling on the Parliament of Canada to recognize that genocide is currently being carried out by the People’s Republic of China against Uyghurs and other Turkic Muslims.

"We are calling on Prime Minister Trudeau to officially adopt this position. We are calling for an end to silence.

"Canada may be a small country in terms of population, but we are a towering giant when it comes to our commitment to human rights. And right now, over a million people half a world away need us to use that voice."

O'Toole has also urged Trudeau to be aggressive in boycotting the 2022 Olympic games, set to be held in Beijing.
