Tesla’s ‘TechnoKing’ founder and CEO Elon Musk took to the Babylon Bee podcast on Tuesday for an interview where he was asked about his appreciation for humor and satire.

Speaking on the subject of wokeness, which Musk described as a “woke mind virus,” Musk called it “arguably one of the biggest threats to modern civilization.”

"Wokeness wants to make comedy illegal,” said Musk, when asked for a further description. “Do we want a humorless society that is simply rife with condemnation, and hate? At its heart, wokeness is divisive, exclusionary and hateful. It basically gives mean people a shield to be cruel, armored in false virtue."

Further in the interview, Musk raised an eyebrow when the Babylon Bee suggested CNN was a “real news organization” and asked why he wasn’t on there instead of talking to the writers of a satirical publication.

“I’m not perverted enough,” he suggested.

CNN is currently facing multiple controversies after former host Chris Cuomo was fired from his position at “Cuomo Prime Time” after the company evaluated new information about his involvement with his brother, disgraced former New York governor Andrew Cuomo’s defense. The elder Cuomo is facing multiple allegations of sex-related offenses.

More recently, a producer on Cuomo’s show was outed and arrested for luring a mother and her 9-year-old daughter to engage in “unlawful sexual activity.” Another pedophilia scandal has also come to light since then.

Speaking on matters unrelated to wokeness, Musk talked about climate change and the move to more sustainable alternatives. He stated that it was “absurd” and “not feasible” for the U.S. government to stop oil and gas production and that the sensible thing to do, instead of slowing production, was to simply “move to a sustainable energy economy.”

“Climate change would not be catastrophic to human civilization, but it would be disruptive,” he said, downplaying the fearmongering rhetoric spouted by the likes of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Greta Thunberg. “People like living on the beach. We've just created civilization to be highly sensitive to changes in temperature,” he explained.

The rest of the interview can be seen on the Babylon Bee's YouTube channel with more available to the publication's subscribers.
