Mike Tyson never fails to be a controversial figure in the world of sports, and just in general. Now, according to TMZ, Mike Tyson claims he could "kick Conor McGregor's a**."
It was on Monday when the larger than life boxing icon was on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
The two were playing a little verbal game of "who would win," probably to see what kind of a reaction they could get out of the audience. The game included fictional figures from various movies, and also top-notch fighters currently active in real life.
Tyson claimed he could beat both Rocky and Ivan Drago from the famed series of Rocky movies. He said that Drago would just be "too damn slow" due to his bulk and wouldn’t stand a chance.
He then went on to claim that Conor McGregor would also fall to his fists and fantastic footwork. He added one caveat, however. The match would have to be by boxing rules. No potentially skull-crushing MMA rules for him!
Conor recently lost a very highly promoted bout that was exactly that. He fought the veteran Floyd Mayweather three years ago, and couldn’t get the better of him. The match was a lot closer than many were calling it, though. He went all the way to the end of the 10th round, when the match was called by TKO in Mayweather’s favour.
It’s really lamentable that the fight would probably never take place, due to the age difference of a whole generation between the two famous fighters, 22 years to be precise. We’d love to see it, though!
