On Thursday morning, a NJ woman was filling up her tank in Port Richmond, an area of Philadelphia just across the PA border, when she was held up at gunpoint and carjacked.
At around 10 am, multiple people pulled up and stole the Audi from the woman at the Wawa station in Port Richmond. It was then found about 1.5 miles away on Aramingo Ave.
According to local outlet CBSN Philly, the victim was interviewed and said:
"Three young kids and they just jumped into the car with me while I was pumping gas. I’m so sorry, I’m so sorry I just feel so overwhelmed."
The police also found a blue SUV parked at East Belgrade and Madison St.'s in the area and are examining it for evidence, as they believe that the SUV is connected with the crime.
This is an ongoing investigation, and anybody who may have more information that may shed light on the incident are invited to call the Philadelphia police.
