A viral video taken at a stadium over the weekend shows video shows Sen. Ted Cruz being urged by a fellow fan to say "Let's Go Brandon." The Texas senator obliged.
The video was recorded at Houston's NRG Stadium, likely during an Astros game. Both Cruz and the fan were wearing Astros orange.
The "Let's Go Brandon" craze began at a NASCAR event on Oct. 2, when Brandon Brown won the NASCAR Xfinity Series Race at Talladega. As an NBC reporter interviewed Brown about his victory, chants of "f*ck Joe Biden" emerged from the crowd.
The reporter tried to play it off as the crowd cheering "Let's Go Brandon," but that was audibly not true.
"Let's Go Brandon" has now become a chant across the country, and is a stand-in for the "f*ck Joe Biden" chants, which have been heard at college football games and other events. which have also been in wide use recently, usually at similar sporting events.
Both chants have become so viral, that a rapper even went to the trouble to make a whole song about it, which has since soared to the top of the charts on iTunes.
