On Sunday, United States Representative Emanuel Cleaver, II (D-MO) delivered the opening prayer for the 117th United States Congress.

The Democrat congressman concluded the prayer with "We ask it in the name of the monotheistic God Brahma and God known by many names by many different fates, amen and a- woman."

Reaction came swiftly on social media. Many realized that this alteration of language didn't actually make any sense, since "amen" has nothing to do with biological sex at all.

"Dems open congress with a prayer that ends 'amen and awoman.' Amen is a Latin word that means 'truly' or 'so be it.' Awoman is a nonsense word that means nothing. Dems find a way to make everything stupid and nonsensical. Utter clowns, all of them," Matt Walsh quipped.

Many mocked the Democrats for the woke gesture, because political correctness is an insidious ideology that has led to attempts to police language and thought. For instance, proposed changes to the House of Representatives' rules include the elimination of gendered terms such as mother and father, son and daughter, and aunt and uncle. In this case, they are making changes to language without appearing to know what the language they are changing means in the first place.
