In the latest episode of his show on X, former Fox News host Tucker Carlson sat down with Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy. During that conversation, Ramaswamy revealed why his campaign is centered around “telling the truth,” and explained that the United States is on the brink of another revolution.

“There's something going on. We're like in the 1775, spring of 1776 moment in this country,” Ramaswamy said. “I think that people are hungry.”

“Now, the form I want to see it play out in is reviving those shared ideals that unite us. That set the nation into motion in 1776 that I think are innate to our nature as human beings, as Americans. I think there's a hunger for a revival of those ideals,” Ramaswamy continued.

Adding, “That's where we are but there's a lot of ways that energy could go. The way I would like to play my small role...is to channel that energy towards a positive revival of that which unites us across our diverse attributes.”

Ramaswamy, a billionaire tech entrepreneur, told Carlson that the average American can’t seem to handle the truth, which is why he has centered his campaign’s focus on “telling the truth,” saying that he would “rather lose some election then to play some political snakes and ladders of what we're supposed to say.”

“I think that there's a bipartisan consensus in this country right now. That we the people, we can't handle the truth,” Ramaswamy said.
“My basic view in this campaign is we can handle the truth,” he said, mentioning topics like the Biden family’s corrupt business dealings, the January 6 riot at the US Capitol, the Russian invasion of Ukraine, China’s growing threat to the United States, the origin of covid, and the trans-identified Nashville shooter.

Ramaswamy disclosed to Tucker Carlson that both major Republican donors and executives in the media have attempted to deter him from telling the truth, explaining that they believe Ramaswamy’s comments could hurt his campaign.

However, the presidential candidate refused to take that advice and said, “I think that's really one of the questions at issue today as it was in 1776. Do we believe that the public can be trusted with the truth? Whatever the truth is, just give me the hard truth.”

“I think that's the moment we live in today. It was the moment of the American Revolution. That we the people can be trusted. And I think we now live in a moment where the government, and not just the government, but a broader establishment in our country, believes that citizens of this nation cannot be trusted with the truth,” he said.

In addition, Ramaswamy ripped into President Biden’s disastrous presidency which has caused unprecedented inflation. He warned that “We're on the cusp of a major economic downturn,” and hopes that Americans will vote accordingly in the 2024 presidential election to help save the US from its economic collapse.

The tech entrepreneur, who has been soaring in the polls, revealed to Carlson that pressure from donors is preventing Republican candidates from telling the truth about Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. He explained that since he doesn’t have a SuperPAC dictating his campaign, unlike other candidates, he is able to speak the truth about the issue, saying that “we have no discernible national interest at issue in Ukraine.”

Ramaswamy explained that the United States’ involvement has only strengthened the alliance between China and Russia, which he says is the “single greatest military threat that the United States certainly has faced since World War.”

Furthermore, Ramaswamy said that the President of the People’s Republic of China, Xi Jinping, poses as the greatest risk to the US economy, and urged that the United States needs to stop being dependent on other nations.
