WATCH: WA State trooper who said 'Jay Inslee can kiss my *ss' as he quit, speaks out against vaccine mandates

A Washington State trooper, who was forced to resign after refusing to get the COVID-19 vaccine, told Laura Ingraham on Fox News Tuesday night why he told Democrat Governor Jay Inslee to "kiss my ass" after serving the public for 22 years.

Robert LaMay of Yakima Washington is one of thousands of Washignton state employees and hundreds of Washington state patrol officers who are now out of a job because of Inslee's vaccine mandate.

"This is my final sign-off. After 22 years of serving the citizens of the state of Washington, I am being asked to leave because I am dirty," the trooper said while signing off for the final time Friday night. "Numerous fatalities, injuries. I've worked sick; I've played sick; buried lots of friends over these years. [I'd] like to thank you guys; I'd like to thank the citizens of Yakima County as well as my fellow officers within the valley. Without you guys I wouldn’t have been very successful; you kept me safe and got me home to my family every night. Thank you for that," said the trooper.

"Wish I could say more but this is it, so, State 1034, this is the last time you’ll hear me in a state patrol car," he concluded. "And Jay Inslee can kiss my ass."

Ingraham asked the former trooper, "Now it's fine for you to be out there patrolling on vaccinated for the last 19 months. But now, I guess you're just not wanted, not needed, not wanted. How does that feel?"

LaMay answered, "Well it feels pretty bad. The problem is they awoke the sleeping giant. I've had so many contacts.  I'm not a social media type guy, so my kids have been helping me out. And they're like 'you're getting 2 million hits here...' I've had contacts from Great Britain. I guess I'm in a Russian paper. I mean, it's insane. It's going across the state and across the world. It's been unlimited talk shows. I've been on talk shows pretty much solid since two o'clock yesterday. And I could do a ton more if I had the time of day, it's just a mess."

Ingraham then played a clip of Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan defending the vaccine mandate saying, "As a city we want to have our valued employees, but we need for public health for them to be vaccinated. The people of Seattle, when they dial 9-1-1 they want to know the person who's responding to that emergency is fully vaccinated… but the people Seattle need to know that that person is fully vaccinated and least likely to transmit COVID to them or their loved ones."

LaMay responded to the clip by stating, "Well, I happened to be sitting in downtown Seattle right now. I haven't seen a patrol car all day. I'd say the same for us. What about all the homeless people they've allowed on the roadways to walk around and just do crazy things in violence? I don't see them wearing masks or getting vaccinated. It's ridiculous. It's a control thing...I mean, we tried religious exemptions, we tried everything legally we could possibly do. They even fired our senior chaplain. His only job is to pray and help people and they fired him. So it's not just a me thing. It's not just a chaplaincy, it is a 'we' thing."

"I mean, I was at job site today talking to guys, electricians, union carpenters, I mean, everybody is pissed off and from the amount of turnout for something that's small that I did, I guess it was started to catalyst. I mean, I'm getting people of a higher ranks, military people that are forwarding this, state senators I'm hearing from..."

Ingraham replied, "Well tonight, the Supreme Court declined to hear a case involving a vaccine mandate challenge filed by Maine healthcare workers. And now it's not a ruling on the merits. They just at this juncture one justice, Justice Briar declined to hear the case. So as of now, no court relief for people like you at the highest level, at least for these vaccine mandates."

Ingraham then asked, "Where's this going to lead in your view? Police forces across the country, hospitals across the country, cause they brag about, 'oh, we have 96 percent compliance. We have 99 percent.' As Southwest airlines says, 'we're not going to do the vacs mandate today.'"

LaMay answered, "Well, congratulations to them. And there's a lot of fire services that aren't doing it to you in the state of Washington. Pretty much all the sheriffs except for King County, because that person was appointed instead of elected, they're not been doing it either. So they're pretty frustrated in the state of Washington. From my understanding, Jay Inslee's pretty torked off. I know my chief is who's pushing for this just as much. And it's really sad. I mean, we lose a lot of officers, but the question they're really not asking to these officers are the ones that are vaccinated. Are they still leaving? And I can tell you those numbers are extreme."

"The troopers that actually left today, that final number we got was 74 troopers. When I actually talked to the people, there's a lot more than just. We have guys that just flat quit before they had to be fired. So there's another number. And then the hundreds of people that have been vaccinated, just lost faith in this state and the Washington state patrol. So Seattle PD guys, the same way. This is ferry systems. This is DOT. I mean, this goes on and on and on..."

Ingraham said, "Well, last time I checked, they weren't really worried about the vaccination status at the border. When we had know tens of thousands of people waved in a one, a two week period. So they don't seem too concerned about that. Robert, what's next for you other than being a celebrity now, what's next?"

"You know, I'm overwhelmed. I really am. I'm a pretty private person. And my son's in the military and I'm like, 'son, this is what's happening.' He goes, 'all right, dad, I'm going black.' We're just trying to put our feet on the ground and it's funny, we're very religious people, and we prayed about all this when this first started, you know, 'Lord, what do you want us to do? And what's our path.'

"We've had applications out of state and all types of stuff, but Lord never really pointed us to one point. So we said, 'okay, maybe this is the fight.' Well, then that came out and it went viral and I'm like, this is where you want us to do right now. So I'm the spokesperson for thousands and thousands. I even say millions of people. I think there's 2 million people that have actually viewed it. It's been 99 percent positive from everybody. I think this is my path right now. There's a lot of job offers that I'm getting phenomenal job offers…"

Ingraham agreed that LaMay may have awoken "a sleeping giant. Now we may be asleep, a sleeping giant. So we hope that that's what's happened here. We've awakened it slowly but surely."
