David Boies, who worked as a "fixer" for convicted Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein, just donated $6,000 to the Georgia Federal Elections Committee, an institute dedicated to flipping the two Georgia Senate seats to the Democrats.

His partner in his law firm, Jonathan Schiller, also contributed another $10,000 to a similar fund, called the Ossoff-Warnock victory fund.

According to Inside Sources, Boies's career started to take off a little more than 20 years ago when he worked for Al Gore's presidential campaign. He was then introduced to Weinstein and the two of them hit it off immediately.

There have been accusations that Boies, among other things, hired a private company called Black Cube to conduct a disinformation campaign and threaten journalists who published stories calling Weinstein out on his actions, which have since earned him a conviction for 23 years in prison.

Ossoff and Warnock have both come under fire recently for everything from potential ties to foreign governments, to Communist sympathies, to Warnock allegedly running over his ex's foot with his car.

The Senate stands at 50 to 48 in favor of the Republicans with the two Georgia seats looking at runoff elections on Tuesday.

These two races are among the most hotly contested in US political history, as, in the situation of Kamala Harris being Vice President, it would effectively give control to the Democrats, since by law, the Vice President gets the tie-breaker vote in the case of a Senate deadlock.
