"It's been a hard time for the community overall under this administration."

Team USA figure skater Amber Glenn broke down in tears after a poor performance at the Winter Olympic Games on Tuesday.

Glenn, 26, identifies as bisexual and pan sexual, and was the first openly LGBTQ woman to compete with Team USA. Leading up to the games, Glenn had talked about how it has been a “hard time” living in President Donald Trump’s America.

“It's been a hard time for the community overall under this administration," she said. “I know that a lot of people will say: ‘You’re just an athlete, stick to your job and shut up about politics,’ but politics affects us all,' she said. 'It’s something that I will not just be quiet about, because it is something that affects us in our everyday lives. So of course there are things that I disagree with, but as a community, we are strong and we support each other, and brighter days are ahead of us.”

Glenn was slammed online for her comments, along with other Olympians who trash-talked America as they went to play at the games to represent the country.

The athlete skated to the 1980s hit song “Like A Prayer” by Madonna. However, she made a mistake, doubled a triple loop, which made the jump invalid for the judges. Glenn was seen crying as she stepped off the ice and got 13th place with only 67.39 points.

The skater, after making the comments about Trump’s America earlier this month, was blasted online, and claimed that she received a “scary amount of hate” for slamming the Trump administration over LGBTQ issues.

After she was slammed over her comments earlier this month, she said she was stepping back from social media.

“When I chose to utilize one of the amazing things about the United States of America (Freedom of speech) to convey how I feel as an athlete competing for Team USA in a troubling time for many Americans I am now receiving a scary amount of hate/threats for simply using my voice WHEN ASKED about how I feel,” she said in a post to Instagram.

“I did anticipate this but I am disappointed by it. I will be limiting my time on social media for my own wellbeing for now but I will never stop using my voice for what I believe in,” she added.
