Woman faces charges after North York hit-and-run

After a hit-and-run incident with fatal results in North York on Thursday evening, a 28-year-old woman now faces charges for her actions.

After a hit-and-run incident with fatal results in North York on Thursday evening, a 28-year-old woman now faces charges for her actions.

According to CP24, police have learned that a van and motorcycle collided around the intersection of Dufferin Street and Ranee Avenue just after 11:00 pm.

After examination, Toronto paramedics pronounced the motorcyclist dead at the scene due to his life-threatening injuries.

The 28-year-old woman who drove the van and hit the motorcyclist tried to flee after the collision. But she was tracked down by police one kilometre away from the intersection. She is now charged with impaired driving.

Currently, roads in the areas of Dufferin Street and Ranee Avenue remain closed for investigation purposes. The events of what led to the collision are still unknown at this time.
