A woman with an extreme celiac eating disease has told the media that she did not eat any food for 40 hours in Trudeau's quarantine facility.

The woman is originally from Edmonton, Alberta. She had to stay in a quarantine hotel in Toronto, Ontario after flying back from Ethiopia, according to Global News.

The woman did not eat as the facility did not provide her with gluten-free food. Celiacs can become seriously unwell if they break their strict diet.

The woman and her husband had to quarantine until they received a negative test result as they had been to South Africa recently.

This is despite the fact that her husband had three doses and she had two. They were quarantined at the Hilton Hotel. The woman said she "had to be careful" with the food she eats.

The Canadian Red Cross has said they are looking into this incident. They also said that they are "supporting returning travellers with immediate and emerging needs upon arrival, and is working as quickly as possible to help meet their unique needs."
