Woke actress turned activist Alyssa Milano is being criticized on social media for starting a GoFundMe campaign to financially support the baseball team of her 12-year-old son.

Individuals felt that the ask was inappropriate since she's a famous actress with a multi-million dollar net worth.

"My son’s baseball team is raising money for their Cooperstown trip,” Milano wrote on X. "Any amount would be so greatly appreciated."

The fundraiser has a goal of $10,000 and has since raised more than $8,300 at the time of publishing.

Milano's post received immediate backlash, which resulted in the actress disabling the comment section. However, Page 6 was able to capture a few of the comments before they disappeared.

"Why is she asking for money from people who can barely buy groceries," said one user.

“Why isn’t Alyssa Milano paying for the trip for the whole team herself?” asked another.

One person told Milano to read the room and said: "Alyssa Milano has absolutely lost her mind. How out-of-touch and tone deaf can one person possibly be?"

Another individual mentioned her family's wealth, explaining that Milano and her husband, who is a notable person at the CAA entertainment agency, could "easily" fund the entire trip for her son's baseball team.

“Just a reminder: Alyssa Milano and her husband are both multi-millionaires,” an X user wrote. “They could pay for the entire trip for the whole team without batting an eye!”

Furthermore, another person questioned if Milano had even donated to the fundraiser as her name was not listed on the publicly available donation list.

This led Milano to address the accusations, with the actress writing on X: "I’m getting media inquiries about whether I have financially contributed to my son’s baseball team."

"I've paid for uniforms for the entire team and coaches, thrown bday parties and sponsor any kid who can’t afford monthly dues," she said. "The kids also do fundraising themselves—car washes, movie nights, and many other fun things!"

"Thank you to all who have contributed to the gofundme! You’ve made things easier for these boys and their families," said Milano.
