On Sunday, Ian Miles Cheong shared several screenshots of Milano's tweets at Musk, ranging from 2014-2017, and wrote, "Before it became trendy to hate Elon Musk, Alyssa Milano was his greatest fan. Why are people like this?"
"I am in awe of @elonmusk, and I continue to be amazed by @teslamotors!," the Charmed actress wrote in 2015.
On Saturday, Milano publicly rebuked Musk's alleged "white supremacy" by announcing that she traded in her Tesla for a Volkswagen electric vehicle.
"I gave back my Tesla. I bought the VW ev. I love it," Milano tweeted.
"I'm not sure how advertisers can buy space on Twitter," she continued. "Publicly traded company's products being pushed in alignment with hate and white supremacy doesn’t seem to be a winning business model."
It didn't take long before people pointed out the actually bigoted history of the Volkswagen company, and the lack of evidence to support her claim that Musk's company is aligned with "hate and white supremacy."
Country singer John Rich posted a link to History.com, which described how the notorious genocidal dictator and the leader of the Nazi party, Adolph Hitler, was responsible for Volkswagen's founding.
In another of Milano's old tweets, Musk made the short list of people Milano would eat dinner with out of anyone who ever lived. This list also included Jesus.
"4 people you'd want to have dinner with? Dead or alive. Mine? Jesus, Roberto Clemente, John Lennon, and Elon Musk."
Other tweets praised Tesla and one of Musk's other projects, SpaceX. In another tweet addressed to the tech mogul, Milano simply wrote "you're amazing."
