The alleged would-be assassin in Sunday's attempt on Donald Trump's life was a frequent Democrat donor, and often parroted Democrat and corporate media rhetoric against the 45th president, social media posts reveal.

Routh’s online presence highlights his dedication to backing Ukraine, with frequent posts about defending democracy. He operated a website aimed at recruiting and transporting fighters and volunteers from around the world to fight in Ukraine.

He shared on X that he attempted to pitch the idea of enlisting former Afghan soldiers to fight for Ukraine against Russia. However, after being rejected several times, he abandoned the effort after six months.

In one X post in Feburary of 2022, Routh proclaimed to ABC talking head David Muir that he was "willing to die for Ukraine."

He was profiled by both The New York Times and Newsweek Romania. In March 2023, the New York Times featured him for his work in recruiting and transporting fighters to support Ukraine.

He resided in Honolulu as well as Greensboro, North Carolina.

“DEMOCRACY is on the ballot and we cannot lose,” Routh posted on social media, echoing the words of Democrat pundits and media talking heads.

Routh's Facebook and X accounts have been scrubbed from the internet, but many have archived and preserved his posts.

Since 2019, Routh has financially supported Democratic candidates and progressive causes. According to filings from the Federal Election Commission (FEC), he donated over $140 through the Democratic fundraising platform ActBlue between September 2019 and March 2020.

He claimed on X that Trump wanted to "make Americans slaves against master." He also urged Joe Biden to run a campaign centered on keeping "America democratic and free" back before Biden dropped out in favor of Kamala Harris.

Routh had a habit of raging against Trump, posting once: "I and the world hoped that president Trump would be different and better than the candidate, but we all were greatly disappointment and it seems you are getting worse and devolving; are you retarded; I will be glad when you gone."

Secret Service agents saw Routh near the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, carrying what appeared to be an AK-47. The agents fired at him, but he managed to escape. He was eventually caught by local police on I-95.
