American mother trapped in Afghanistan fears for life, urges Biden to evacuate those that can't reach Kabul

An American mother trapped in Afghanistan is fearing for her life after attempts to travel to the Kabul airport where evacuations are taking place have been thwarted by Taliban fighters, despite the Biden administration stating that they were trusting the terrorist regime that they would let American citizens leave the country.

"I really have given up hope, given up on the hope of going to the airport," the woman told Fox News on Saturday, remaining unidentified due to concerns for her safety. "It's just not possible to make it through all those people."

The woman is one of the many Americans trapped behind enemy lines that the Biden administration has said that they're having a hard time tracking. She told Fox News that there are as many as 20 Taliban checkpoints standing between her and the Kabul airport, where the US military is evacuating citizens.

During an attempt to get through one of these checkpoints, she said the Taliban whipped her. Another man standing near her was reportedly shot in the head.

Since that moment, the woman told Fox News she has been in hiding, fearing for her life. As of Saturday, she was in hiding with her aunt, who is a former Afghan parliament member, her uncle, as well as a number of contractors and children.

"We are devastated," she said. "We're scared for our lives. Every moment that a car passes by, I feel like they are going to pull in and execute us. I don't know if I'm going to see my children again." She fears that the situation has become hopeless, saying "she would rather commit suicide than allow the Taliban to capture her," according to Fox News.

She added that she also fears showing her US passport to checkpoint security, noting that she would be unsure that the guard is Taliban, who have assured that Americans can pass, or members of other terrorist organization.

"They're labeled as Taliban, but who really knows?" she said. "They don't have a uniform on, a proper military uniform or law enforcement, where you can recognize them. They're all armed."

Speaking with Fox News, she had an urgent, tearful plea for the president. "Please, Mr. President, please evacuate us. We need help."

The woman's brother, a former military translator and contractor who has evacuated to the United Kingdom, told Fox News that at least two of his colleagues have been killed in the last two days by the Taliban. "They've been going to a lot of homes pulling out high-ranked Afghans, law enforcement, people who worked with the U.S. military or NATO," the woman said.

The woman sent a 27-second audio recording to West Virginia Representative Carol Miller's office, where she can be heard sobbing as she spoke. "Hour by hour it's getting more difficult," she struggles to say. "Even when the cars pass by I feel like they're gonna stop at the door out there and the Taliban out there are gonna come in and kill us."

"I'm really scared," she continued. "Please just, please help me."

A separate message sent to Miller's office stated that the woman said she has "no hope" of ever seeing her children again.

Her husband told Fox News that the state department has been little help, and that they are communicating daily with Miller's office. The woman's husband and children are located in Virginia. They fear that an internet blackout could be imposed by the Taliban, blocking communications with those still stranded in Afghanistan. Her brother said if that came to fruition, the Taliban would "massacre of a lot of people."

"It’s a devastating situation and deadly," the woman said. "I'm terrified."
