The group, Home of the Brave, has been advertising for the demonstrations and says it aims to boost turnout beyond previous “No Kings” events.

An organization promoting the upcoming “No Kings” protests on March 28 has been revealed to have ties with several prominent Democrat and anti-Trump Republican figures, including some figures at the anti-Trump Substack page, "The Bulwark."

The group, Home of the Brave, has been advertising for the demonstrations and says it aims to boost turnout beyond previous “No Kings” events. In a full-page advertisement published in multiple newspapers, the organization called for continued demonstrations, writing, “We the people march again. The abuses have not stopped. Neither will we.”

“We affirm our right to speak freely, to publish the truth, and to gather in protest. We affirm our right to be secure in our homes. We affirm the right of every person to a judge, a jury of their peers, and presumed innocence,” the ad states. “The founders wrote the Bill of Rights because they had lived under a king. We march because we refuse to live under another.”

According to its website, the organization claims that President Trump is “exploiting the presidency to enrich himself and his family while forcing Americans to submit to his authoritarian agenda or face retaliation.”

“We’re lifting up the voices of people whose lives have been directly harmed by the Trump administration,” the website continues. “We won’t be bullied into silence. The first step in fighting back is speaking out. And that’s exactly what we are doing.”

The organization’s “about” section lists several figures involved in its efforts, including Susan Rice, who served as Domestic Policy Advisor to President Joe Biden and previously as National Security Advisor under Barack Obama from 2013 to 2017. Also listed is Bill Kristol, a former chief of staff to Vice President Dan Quayle. He is also the editor-at-large at "The Bulwark."

Sarah Longwell, the publisher at "The Bulwark" is also named in the organization's leadership.

Other individuals named include Barbara Comstock, who represented Virginia’s 10th Congressional District, and Sarah Matthews, a deputy press secretary during the first Donald Trump administration who resigned after January 6, 2021.

The “No Kings” protests are part of broader demonstrations among the left to oppose policies of the Trump administration, ranging from immigration enforcement to foreign policy initiatives. Organizers say more than 3,000 events have been planned across the United States, along with additional protests in Mexico and Canada.
