A new staffer for progressive "Squad" member Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, (D-NY), called the state of Israel a "racist European ethnostate" in a social media post Christmas Eve.
Hussain Altamimi was hired as a legislative assistant by AOC’s office in November.
Altamimi said in an Instagram story, "Israel is a racist European ethnostate built on stolen land from its indigenous population!"
"This reveals the principle underpinning Israeli apartheid: It’s not about where you’re born. It’s about whether you’re Jewish or non-Jewish. Your ethnicity determines your rights [and] level in the racial hierarchy."
"Israel is an exclusive ethnostate, established to serve one ethnic group at the expense of another," the post continued.
Altamimi’s made the comments in response to a post he shared from an account called Let’s Talk Palestine, which claimed there is a "racial hierarchy" in the Holy Land.
Their Instagram profile has made multiple anti-Israel posts, many of which praise attempted genocides against the Jewish state and terrorist organizations.
One post from the non-profit's account is titled "The Ethnic Cleansing of Jerusalem" and falsely claims that the Jewish state has been engaging in the "ethnic cleansing" of Palestinians since taking control of East Jerusalem following an attack by Israel’s Arab neighbors in 1967.
Another post from the account displayed terrorist organizations Hamas and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine as Pokémon cards.
Earlier this year, Ocasio Cortez called Israel an "Apartheid state" and added, "Apartheid states aren’t democracies."
Other Squad members have made anti-Israel and antisemitic comments in the past and have antisemitic activists on their payrolls.
A Palestinian activist named Rasha Mubarak, whose firm was sent $96,000 in payments between March 2020 and March 2021 for "fundraising consulting" from Rep. Rashida Tlaib's (D- MI) campaign, has repeatedly called Israel an "apartheid" state, parroting comments made by Tlaib herself.
Ocasio-Cortez’s office declined a comment request by Fox News regarding the staffer's posts.
