Police have charged a man with threatening to kill President-elect Donald Trump after discovering he had posted a slew of social media that threatened Trump’s life. Manuel Tamayo-Torres was arrested on Wednesday in Southern California and has since been charged with one count of uttering threats against Trump and four counts of issuing false statements when he bought a firearm, Just the News reported.

Tamayo-Torres has a criminal record and was convicted of felony assault in 2004. He spent five years in jail for the offense, NBC News noted.

Police charge documents allege that Tamayo-Torres was a prolific poster of videos on social media, adding to his online library every day with hate-filled and profanity-laced rants against the president-elect, whom he allegedly maintained had kidnapped and sex-trafficked his children.

The videos never actually mention Trump by name but identity him as “Individual 1” who is described as both a former president and president-elect today. One angry soliloquy, posted to the internet on Nov. 21, was even became racist in tone as the accused went after Trump as a “low-life scum” who was going to be buried.

"You’re Caucasian nothing," the individual on the video can be heard. "You’ll earn nothing. Aryan money, that’s all you have. You’re a low-life scum. I’ll spit in your f*cking face motherf*cker, and if they give me a chance, I’m going to f*cking bury you myself."

Trump is not the only high-profile politician to receive death threats from the fringes of society during this transition period leading up to the Jan. 20. 2025 inauguration. The FBI is looking into other incidents of people uttering threats against various members of Trump’s potential cabinet, including violent bomb threats.

Trump, of course, was the target of not one but two assassination attempts during his presidential campaign. The first attempt was at a rally in Butler, PA on July 12, where a bullet came within a less than an inch of killing him. The second attempt occurred at his West Palm Beach golf course on Sept. 18.
