Surveillance footage released by the Phoenix Police Department captured two armed men raiding an Arizona home in the moments before kidnapping and subsequently killing a 17-year-old-boy and shooting his grandfather, the Daily Mail reports.

In what appears to be a targeted attack, Jesse Sainz Camacho was abducted from his home in west Phoenix at around 3 am on December 19. Police discovered his remains in an undisclosed remote location in Maricopa County.

The stills of the footage released by the police show the two men wearing baseball caps and holding guns as they enter the boy's home.

"Jesse was actually the intended target in that home invasion," Stg. Philip Krynsky of the Phoenix Police Department confirmed.

The kidnappers have yet to be arrested. Police said that they fled the scene with the teenager in a dark-colored car.

"We want to make sure we get these individuals off the street," Sgt. Krynsky said. "We don’t want there to be any more violence with this, so again, we are looking for you, we will identify you and hold you accountable."

"We don’t suggest that you approach these individuals," he added.

Police have confirmed that the boy's grandfather is in a stable condition and is expected to recover from his injuries.

One of Camacho's neighbors allegedly saw the incident unfold from his bedroom window.

"I was awake around two-ish, talking to my friends on the phone," the neighbor, who wishes to remain anonymous, said. "And then, I hear gunshots."

"It's crazy, because I went to school with him last year," he added. "It was crazy that it was one of my neighbors and it was around my neighborhood. I would never have thought that something like that would happen out here."

Police have yet to reveal any details about Camacho's cause of death, how they located his body, or why he specifically was targeted by the suspects.

Anyone with any information is being asked to contact Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS. Police are offering up to $1,000 reward for any information that leads to the arrest of Camacho's killers.
