Arkansas 'woman' arrested over alleged bomb threats is bearded biological male with female name

Lily Mestemacher, who appears in a mugshot to be a biological man with a beard and is described by local news reports with female pronouns, was arrested and charged with False Reporting of Placing Explosives.

In Conway, Arkansas late last week, a suspect in a bomb threat scare was arrested.

29-year-old Lily Mestemacher of Conway, who in Mestemacher’s mugshot appears to be a biological man with a beard and long hair and is described by local news reports with female pronouns, was arrested and charged with False Reporting of Placing Explosives, according to The Local Voice.

On January 31, 2023, the Oxford Police Department received reports that a social media post in which a person spoke about a bomb threat in Oxford, Mississippi.

According to The Local Voice, police officers and an explosives-detecting K-9 searched the area mentioned in the post and deemed the area safe.

Investigators later learned that the person behind the threats was Mestemacher, with an arrest warrant for Mestemacher being issued shortly after the discovery. Conway police arrested Mestemacher.

On February 10, Mestemacher was transported from Conway to Oxford, where Mestemacher was booked. A Lafayette County Justice Court judge issued a $50,000 bond.
