The campaign is "going to be very aggressive," one White House official said.
President Joe Biden's reelection campaign will host a fundraiser with former Presidents Barrack Obama and Bill Clinton in the spring hoping to energize voters ahead of the 2024 election.
According to sources familiar with the campaign's plan that spoke to NBC News, the idea is to have the three Democrat presidents there together in order to draw funds, headlines, and energize voters for the election.
No date has been set for the event yet, according to the sources that spoke to the outlet, however, it is likely to take place in March or April
NBC described it as part of the campaign's need for an "all-hands-on-deck approach" to win the next election. The campaign has increased hiring in battleground states and ads to donate to Biden's campaign has been spending on YouTube ads featuring Obama.
The Biden campaign and representatives for Obama and Clinton did not respond for comment from the outlet.
One White House official told the outlet, the campaign is "going to be very aggressive." Biden's schedule has picked up for events such as the pro-abortion rally he held last week in northern Virginia.
During his speech, the president was also interrupted by anti-Israel protesters who had come to the event.
Biden may need assistance if polls stay consistent with levels they are at as of Monday. If the general election were to be held at the time of this report, Biden would be down by over 4 points, according to the Real Clear Politics polling average among voters in a head-to-head election with former President Trump.
